Acumula gran cantidad de algas durante todo el año, haciendo desaparecer la arena y la orilla. Entre el agua y el suelo hay un pequeño cortado que hace las veces de bordillo.
A great deal of seaweed gathers here year round, which completely covers the sand and the shore. There’s a little ledge between the water and the beach proper, which serves as a kind of kerb. houses next to the beach.

Es la primera playa que encontrarás nada mas llegar al Puerto de Pollensa si vienes de Alcudia. No ofrece muchos servicios y está menos frecuentada y urbanizada, pues aún no se encuentra en pleno centro turístico ni urbano. Tiene un pequeño paseo marítimo que se ensancha una vez se llega al dique.
It’s the first beach you’ll come across arriving in Puerto de Pollensa from Alcudia, There are few services on offer and it’s less busy and built up because it’s not yet part of the urban and tourist nucleus. There’s a small seafront which widens at the dyke.

Es el arenal del Puerto de Pollensa que fue regenerado hace unos años. Es muy amplia y cuenta con gran superficie de arena. El agua es muy buena a pesar de encontrarse dentro de la bahía. Desde aquí comienza un agradable paseo marítimo que se prolonga hasta el puerto. Suele estar bastante ocupada pues ofrece todos los servicos que el bañista demanda. Tiendas, restaurantes, hoteles, apartamentos, todo muy cerca de la playa. Acceso posible para minusválidos por el paseo marítimo y a la playa.
This stretch of beach in Puerto de Pollensa was regenerated some years ago. It’s very wide and there’s an extensive area of sand. The water is very good, despite being on the bay. There’s a nice seafront that begins here and continues on to the port. There are shops, restaurants, hotels and apartments all very near the beach. Access for the disabled both on the seafront and the beach.

En la misma playa de Formentor, se encuentra esta playa justo al otro lado del muelle de los barcos que recorren la travesía Puerto de Pollensa-Formentor. Esta zona más alejada también está más descuidada. La superficie es de rocas, piedras, algas. Hay un restaurante muy cerca que sirven comidas pero si lo prefieres, justo detrás de la playa hay un bonito pinar en el que podrás muy cómodamente montar tú picnic.
On the same stretch of sand as playa Formentor, you’ll find this beach just on the other side of the jetty for the boats which sail between Puerto de Pollensa and Formentor. It’s the most out of the way stretch and seemingly the most neglected. The surface is made up of rocks, stones and seaweed. There’s a restaurant very nearby which serves food, there’s a nice pine grove where you can lay out a picnic very comfortably

Es la playa más conocida de la Isla de Mallorca así como una de las más hermosas y visitadas. A pesar de todo esto, la playa de Formentor se mantiene impecable en un entorno envidiable. A pie de playa se encuentra el famoso Hotel Formentor, muy visitado por famosas personalidades dentro del mundo de la televisión, cultura, etc. En uno de los extremos de la playa hay un gran muelle desde donde salen y llegan barcos que hacen la travesía Puerto de Pollensa-Formentor. Hay una zona exclusiva para pequeñas embarcaciones de recreo con boyas delimitando la zona de baño.
It’s the most famous beach in Majorca, as well as one of the most beautiful and popular. Despite all this, Formentor is an impeccable beach in enviable surroundings. There’s the famous Hotel Formentor just behind. It’s a popular spot with personalities from the world of showbusiness and the arts. There’s a big dock at one end, which takes boats serving the Puerto de Pollensa-Formentor crossing; there’s an area reserved for them with the swimming area marked by buoys.

La única manera de acceder a la cala es andando unos 15 minutos por un camino de tierra. Aunque no está permitido suele verse a gente acampar pues la entorno incita a ello. Hay una gran explanada con mesas y bancos para disfrutar de una buena comida con la familia, amigos
The only way to this cove involves a 15 minute walk down a dirt track. Although officially it’s not permitted, there are usually people camping out because it’s a perfect spot to pitch a tent. There’s a large picnic area with tables and benches for you to enjoy a meal with family or friends.

Es pequeña pero cuenta con fondos impresionantes, así el entorno y las vistas que la misma ofrece. Es una de las calas que encontrarás dirección al Cabo de Formentor. Esta playa puede ser una de las alternativas a la famosa y turística playa de Formentor.
It’s small, but the seabed is stunning, as are the surrounding area and the views you get. It’s one of the coves you’ll come across on the way to Cabo de Formentor. It could be a nice alternative to the famous and touristy playa Formentor.

Es una excursión muy recomendada y muy fácil de realizar. La caminata es através de un sendero sin pendiente. Además te encontrarás con gran cantidad de cabras montesas, el paisaje que rodea la cala es incomparable, así como su agua y fondos.
The trip is highly recommended and easily accomplished, The walk is along a flat path, so there’s no gradient. You’ll come across a lot of mountain goats on the way, the surrounding landscape is incomparable, as are the water and seabed.
